Landing page personalization software: how the main tools differ

Landing page personalization software changes what a visitor sees on a landing page based on what brought them there or who they are: the search term, the ad or campaign, their company, or their behaviour on the site. Tools sold under this label take five different approaches, and the right one depends mostly on whether you already have pages you like and where your traffic comes from.

GetIntent is our product, so weigh our view accordingly. Competitor details come from each vendor’s public materials and our own product research, and pricing is indicative and may have changed.

Five approaches

  1. 1. AI copy personalization on pages you already have

A script on your existing pages rewrites selected text (headline, supporting copy, calls to action) for each visit, based on UTM parameters, the search term, the referrer or the clicked ad. No new pages are built.

    GetIntent

  2. 2. Account-based (ABM) personalization

Content changes for visitors matched to named target accounts, usually tied to a CRM and an ABM program, often with account-specific microsites.

    Mutiny

  3. 3. Landing page builders with personalization

You build and host new pages in a visual editor and create variants per ad or audience, sometimes with automatic traffic routing to the best variant.

    Unbounce, Instapage

  4. 4. Experimentation and CRO suites

A/B and multivariate testing platforms with rule-based personalization, often bundled with heatmaps and session recordings. Variants are designed by your team.

    VWO, Optimizely

  5. 5. AI ad-to-page variant generation

Tools that generate many landing page variants matched to specific ads and audiences in planned campaigns.

How to choose

  • If you already have landing pages you are happy with and want their copy to match each ad and search, look at copy personalization on existing pages.
  • If you run a formal account-based program with a named account list in your CRM, look at ABM personalization.
  • If you need to build new pages and have no page you want to keep, start with a landing page builder.
  • If you have a CRO team that designs and runs tests, and want heatmaps and recordings, look at an experimentation suite.
  • Whatever you choose, test personalized pages against the original with a control group before rolling out.

GetIntent

AI landing-page personalizationOur product
Best for:
B2B SaaS teams that want their existing landing pages to rewrite headlines, CTAs and copy for each visitor, based on UTM parameters, referrer, search intent and (optionally) matched target accounts. Install one script tag, no developer needed.
Not ideal for:
Teams that need a page builder, heatmaps or session recordings, or a full experimentation suite for product features. GetIntent personalizes pages you already have; it does not build them.
Pricing:
Free plan; paid plans from €69/month (US$74.52)

Mutiny

B2B ABM personalization
Best for:
Enterprise B2B teams running a formal account-based marketing program with a defined target account list, Salesforce as the system of record, and sales teams who act on account engagement signals. Offers 1:1 account microsites.
Not ideal for:
Teams without a named-account program, or teams whose traffic mostly comes from paid search and organic visitors who never get matched to an account.
GetIntent vs Mutiny

Unbounce

Landing page builder
Best for:
Teams that want to build and host new landing pages in a visual editor with templates, then route visitors to the best-performing variant with Smart Traffic.
Not ideal for:
Teams that already have landing pages they are happy with and only want the copy on them to match each visitor.
GetIntent vs Unbounce

Instapage

Enterprise landing page platform
Best for:
Larger marketing teams that build many ad-specific landing pages and need 1:1 ad-to-page personalization, collaboration and approval workflows, A/B testing and heatmaps.
Not ideal for:
Budget-conscious teams, or teams that want to keep pages on their own site instead of rebuilding them in a builder.

VWO

Conversion optimization suite
Best for:
Teams with a dedicated CRO function that want A/B testing, rule-based personalization, heatmaps, session recordings and form analytics in one platform.
Not ideal for:
Small teams that only want landing-page personalization and do not have the time to design rules and wait for test results.
GetIntent vs VWO

Optimizely

Enterprise experimentation platform
Best for:
Large organizations with engineering resources that run experiments across websites and products and need an enterprise platform.
Not ideal for:
Marketing teams without engineering support, or budgets well below enterprise contract size.
GetIntent vs Optimizely

Fibr AI

AI ad-to-page personalization
Best for:
Campaign-focused teams that want to create many landing page variants matched to specific ads and audiences without code.
Not ideal for:

Frequently asked questions

What is landing page personalization software?

It is software that changes the content of a landing page for each visitor or segment, based on signals such as the ad, search term, campaign, company or on-site behaviour, so the page matches what the visitor came for.

Do I need a new landing page builder to personalize pages?

No. Builders are one approach. Copy personalization tools such as GetIntent and experimentation suites work on pages you already host, as long as your site can load a JavaScript snippet.

Which approach is cheapest to try?

Tools with a free plan or published self-serve pricing let you try personalization on real traffic without a sales process. GetIntent has a free plan; enterprise ABM and experimentation platforms are usually sold on annual contracts.
