GetIntent + Google Ads integration

The GetIntent Google Ads integration connects a Google Ads manager (MCC) account, syncs the ad copy of every client account under it, and uses that copy to rewrite each landing page so it matches the exact ad a visitor clicked.

What it does

  • Discovers every client account under the connected manager account and creates a client in GetIntent for each one.
  • Syncs enabled campaigns, ad groups, ads (headlines, descriptions and final URLs) and keywords from each account.
  • Creates a GetIntent site for each landing-page domain found in the ads' final URLs.
  • When a visitor arrives from an ad, looks up that ad's real headlines and descriptions and rewrites the landing page to match them. If the ad cannot be resolved, GetIntent falls back to UTM and intent-based personalization.
  • Re-syncs connected accounts automatically once a day, and on demand with Sync now.

What is synced

  • Read from Google Ads: client account names and IDs, enabled campaigns, ad groups, ad headlines, descriptions, final URLs and keywords.
  • Written to Google Ads, only if you opt in: an account-level final URL suffix that adds campaign ID, ad group ID, creative ID, keyword and match type to each click using Google's ValueTrack parameters.
  • If an account already has a final URL suffix, GetIntent appends to it. If that suffix already contains GetIntent parameters, it is left untouched.

How to connect

  1. 1In the GetIntent dashboard, open Clients and choose Connect Google Ads.
  2. 2Sign in with a Google user that has access to your manager (MCC) account and approve access.
  3. 3GetIntent discovers the client accounts under the manager account and queues a sync for each one.
  4. 4Optional: tick "Also apply Google Ads tracking to all accounts" and choose Sync now to add the final URL suffix to every account.
  5. 5Make sure the GetIntent script tag is installed on the landing pages your ads point to.

Requirements

  • Agency or Enterprise plan.
  • A Google Ads manager (MCC) account. If the Google user can access several manager accounts, the first one is connected and you can reconnect to switch.
  • Owner or admin role in your GetIntent organization.
  • The GetIntent script installed on the landing pages.

What it does not do

  • It does not change bids, budgets, ads, keywords or targeting. The only write is the optional final URL suffix.
  • It does not upload conversions or offline conversions back to Google Ads.
  • It is not available on the Free, Starter, Pro or Scale plans. On those plans, tag your ad URLs with UTM or signal parameters instead.
  • Only enabled campaigns are synced. Ad copy is read from ad-group ads, so campaign types without ad-group ads fall back to UTM and intent-based personalization.

Frequently asked questions

Does GetIntent edit my Google Ads campaigns?

No, except for one optional change. If you opt in, GetIntent sets an account-level final URL suffix so each click carries campaign, ad group, creative, keyword and match type. It never changes bids, budgets, ads or keywords.

Which plan includes the Google Ads integration?

The Agency and Enterprise plans. On other plans GetIntent still personalizes Google Ads traffic from UTM parameters and GetIntent signal parameters on your ad URLs.

Can I connect a single Google Ads account without a manager account?

Not today. The integration connects through a manager (MCC) account and syncs the client accounts under it.

How often does GetIntent sync Google Ads data?

Once a day automatically, and whenever you choose Sync now in the dashboard.
