GetIntent + Salesforce integration
The GetIntent Salesforce integration imports Accounts from Salesforce as target accounts for a site, so GetIntent can personalize landing pages for visitors from those companies.
What it does
- Queries Salesforce Accounts and adds each one with a website, or updates it, as a target account on the selected GetIntent site.
- Uses the Account's website to derive the company domain used for matching.
- When account-based personalization is enabled for the site and a visitor is identified as one of these companies, GetIntent uses the account's details when it rewrites the page.
What is synced
- Read from Salesforce: Account name, website, industry, number of employees, annual revenue and billing country.
- Nothing is written back to Salesforce.
How to connect
- 1Get your Salesforce instance URL and an access token for a user that can read Accounts.
- 2In the GetIntent dashboard, select the site you want to use, then go to Settings → Integrations and choose Add integration.
- 3Choose Salesforce, enter the instance URL and access token, and save.
- 4Use Test connection to check the credentials, then Sync now to import Accounts.
- 5On the site's Install page, turn on account-based personalization and choose a company identification provider.
Requirements
- A Salesforce instance URL and an access token with read access to Accounts.
- Accounts need a website in Salesforce to be imported.
- Account-based personalization switched on for the site, with a company identification provider (built-in lookup, 6sense or Clearbit).
What it does not do
- It is a one-way import. GetIntent does not write leads, tasks, opportunities or conversions to Salesforce.
- Syncs run when you choose Sync now. There is no automatic scheduled Salesforce sync yet.
- It does not import Contacts, Leads or Opportunities, only Accounts.
- There is no OAuth connection flow yet. You supply an access token, and you need to update it in GetIntent when it expires.
Frequently asked questions
Does GetIntent write data back to Salesforce?
No. The Salesforce integration only reads Accounts and stores them as target accounts in GetIntent.
Do I need Salesforce to use GetIntent?
No. GetIntent personalizes landing pages from UTM parameters, signal parameters and referrer data without any CRM. The Salesforce import only adds account-based personalization for companies you already track.
Which Salesforce fields are imported?
Account name, website, industry, number of employees, annual revenue and billing country.
